I Don’t Have a Creative Bone in my Body
“I don’t have a creative bone in my body.” Have you ever said that? I have.
“I can only draw stick people.” Have you ever said that? I have.
Is creativity limited to one’s artistic capabilities? It’s what we often think, but the definition of creativity according to Cambridge Dictionary is the ability to produce or use original and unusual ideas.
Think about this:
Creativity increases your problem-solving and “thinking outside of the box” abilities.
Creative people are more resilient in overcoming challenges. Why? See above. 😊
Creative people are less likely to have a fear of failure.
Creative people tend to be flexible.
Creative people are generally positive personalities.
Creative people see things from more than one perspective.
Have you ever put your own “twist” on a recipe to make it just a little better?
Do you have a flair for decorating?
Do you read a pattern and then not follow it exactly?
My guess is that you saw yourself in some of these statements even if you “don’t have a creative bone in your body!” Think about that…. 😊
